suspension question

i cased a double this weekend at a local track and every time i land hard on the forks it makes like a wistle or click sound does anybody have an idea of what it could be ??

are you sure that it is the suspension maiking that clicking sound??i have heard of the crossbars making noises after being bent. :)

im pretty sure its coming from the forks bc wen i 1st noticed it i would go over the rythme section slow landing on the front wheel hard to see if it would happen and it did not sure maybe its the fork springs whoo knowss :)

whistles indicate trapped air in the forks, and clicking indicates them bottoming out.

Whens the last time you swapped out the fork oil?

fork oil is only good for about 10 - 15 hours of riding. After that it gets increasingly contaminated from dirt.

Change it for some good synthetic oil, you'll be amazed at the difference.

Most likely you are bottoming out.

Whistle could be blowing air out the caps or fork seals.

I would suggest to inspect the seals, change the fork fluid and add 20cc more to each fork to help bottoming reistance.
