Crf450 04 Or 05?

Hey guys I know it's been beaten to death but I was about to purchase a low hour 04 model when I got offered a smoken deal on a brand new 05 but I have to wait 6/7 weeks to get it. The cost diff is about $1800.00. I was looking originally at an 04 cause most of the aftermaket stuff will change over. Can some one confirm what will change over from my 03??

1-20mm offset clamps ( I think they will)

2-excel wheel sets (as above)

3-O/Size front rotor

4-exhaust (entire system) I dont think they do

The 04 was a used bike (low hours) against a new 05. The 450 Honda's have only been out since early December I think ? here in Australia. So you dont think it's worth it? ?

1- Clamps. Yes, but the # plate mounting hole is in the wrong spot.

2- Wheels. Yes

3- Rotor. I am sure it will. (though I read something somewhere about this.) Mark me down as 95% sure that it will work.

4- Exhaust. Full systems will interchange. Slip ons will not. A slip on with your 03' header will fit an 04'.

I thought the rotor adaptors were different from '03 to '04.

I was considering what would change over to the 05. I just rec'd pics of the 04 I was considering buying and decided it was not what was promised. It looked as though it had double the hours he said. ?

Looks like its an 05 on order now ?

My 05 the Emig 20mm clamps fit off my 02,my oversized disc would fit but the brake caliper mount was changed in 04,so my 02 bracket would not fit,05 has a different pipe configuration,my spare front wheel off my 02 fit the 05 ok,

I'm actually saving about $2700 on RRP here in Aust. It meant that I was going to pay $1800 more than the used 04.

Thanks skip7. I have 20mm offset Perf Engineering red clamps.Should look sweet on the 05 ?
