Race Gas.

Recommended Posts

VP Ultimate 4 leaded, which, incidently, is 92 octane (because that's enough), will add about 1/2 hp to your 250F. Doesn't affect reliability negatively except for the strain caused by the extra power. OTOH, the lead may help your valves last a little longer. Worth it? You decide.

I like running the higher octane in a light mix 1 HO / 4 Pumped.... Especially enjoy the smell of the race mix in the morning... smells like FUN!!! :) I haven't had any parts issues from it either... :)

is it worth it, does it burn up parts faster,,

what are the Pros and Cons of race gas vs pump (93) octane.

pros

1) easier, more accurate jetting

2) better throttle response

3) easier starting

4) in some cases, more power

cons

1) cost

however, there are many race fuels on the market. some will work great for, and some may not

The best way to decide if race gas is worth the cost is to put it in your tank and try it. For me, the 110 octane stuff makes my CRF 450 run so much better that it is worth the cost.

Looking to buy a used Beta 2017 500 RRS from outside California.  Can I plate (Register with CA DMV) the bike in CA?  If so what is the best way?  Don't have the money to put down for a new bike from a Dealer in CA.  Any help or sugguestions would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

This continues to be my favorite trail/race weapon!! In our Eastern tight woods, power is not King, handling is. And this thing outhandles them all!!!!
