YZ Needle ncvq help

Hey all, couple of things here if you could help.I have a 05 yfz 450 se and im in the process of jetting the thing.Ok now i been seeing alot of people talking about putting a ncvq needle in.Well that needle came in the 04 yz the 05 is a nflr so will the ncvq work in the my 05 yfz or no also will i have to get new clip or will mine work? One more thing, whats a good starting point for the jets all i did so far is took out the spark arester and the lid to the air box.

I don't know your elevation, temp, climate, but I can say that with just the exhaust and airbox opened up a bit, you can stay w/ the stock needle for now. When you do go to the next needle, go w/ the NCVQ.

You may want to start out around 45 pilot(adjusting the fuel screw between 1.5 and 2 turns out from full bottom), 165 main, and clip on groove 5 from the flat end of the needle.

These recomendations are very ball park, but should get you started. Just pay attention to what the motor is telling you, and tune from there.
