300exc vs. 300mxc

what is the differance between these two 2-strokes models?

As far as the 4 stroke version

MXC has bigger tank, no lights (but the wiring is there) and a close ratio transmission (gears are closer together)

EXC has smaller tank, lights and a wide ratio tranny (lower first, higher 6th and wider spaceing in between)

Motor, suspension etc are identicle.

For the 300 smokers I think it's just the lights and trannies.

I am trying to track down a 300mxc here in Canada, it seems even the exc's are tough to get right now......

I'd say if you don't have cash down on one already, you probably aren't getting one this year. They go fast and are nearly impossible to find by March.

The main differences:

EXC: lights & speedo, wide ratio transmission and woods suspension

MXC: No lights or speedo, close ratio transmission and stiffer suspension.

The MXC does have a coil so you can hook up lights.
