shifter tip, READ THIS

on the shifter on the ttr 125, take out the weird linkage system and replace it with a regular one. this will make the shifting much smother

ProCycle Yes, but it makes it more likely you will bend the shift shaft in a crash.

i think your wrong.. thats why they make the shifter softer than the shift shaft.. for that reason.. im seriously thinking about getting one :)

ok,every motocross style dirt bike including my brothers 04 kx 125 has a shifter connected directly to the shaft coming of the transmission case

Gentlemen, I've already done the research. Using the search tool would dig up this recent thread of mine, as well as many others on this same subject.

So far, I'm still sold on the direct shifter. It's been a huge improvement and I haven't had any issues yet. Which is nice considering how much abuse these bikes take! :)
