very very very PAINFUL crash video

Just so this dosent happen to me or my Boy.... What exactly went wrong????

I am hip to the bail out if things go really bad as they did...

He let off the gas while taken off= lounging over the bars :D

Too much gas while taken off= Looping out/front wheel sky hi :naughty:

Steady gas while taken off= level flight :naughty:

That only holds true when the face of the jump is smooth and doesnt account for kickers on it. With a kicker you still need to blip the throttle or you will endo. they are more prevalent on hard packed clay jumps than sandy ones.

2 things went wrong - I listened to the throttle many times up to the jump lip -

1. He let off the gas on the face of the jump - this would have been ok if his weight had been more positioned to the rear instead of the front of the bike - Neutral position is always better - see #2

2. incorrect body position - especially when letting off the gas on the face

3. I am 90% sure that there was not enough rear rebound damping for his size and weight - the rear end just lifted up and over - he looks very light weight

He should have practiced jumping on a smaller jump - the first time to see how the bike reacted/dampning reacted -

my 2cents and yes ouch is in order!

sure doesnt sound like he let off the gas too me. It's sound steady all the way up the face.
