Why no dry-sump oil system on the CRF?

Just wanted to know why Honda engineering didn't put a dry-sump lubrication system on the CRF to get rid of viscous friction?

Is it a feature that would of added too much to the weight of the bike or is there a dry-sumper waiting up ahead with even more horsepower?

Thats what the reed valve in the crank case does. Excess oil is pushed out of the center crank cavity into the left side case where it is collected. 90% of the benifit of a true dry sump without the weight of a scavenging pump or external lines & a tank.
