Tightening Throttle Cables?

I've done all sorts of stuff to the DRZ (RTV Water Pump Fix, MCCT) but haven't quite figured out how to tighten the throttle cable play at the handgrip.

I've messed with the 2 adjusters at the carb but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I just want the slop taken out so when I turn the grip it catches right away.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

There are 3 adjusters. 1 in the cable and 2 at the carb. Lengthen the outer cable will take slack out of the wire. Some slack is needed. I like plenty of slack.

Speaking of Throittle cables.

Anyone have them fray at the throttle cable wheel next to the carb? I hear that Yosh makes a after market wheel that is suppose to eliminate the kink that the original wheel puts on the cable.....

Zipty makes one also.....
