...and no I'm not a Union worker.

And my junky 1996 American Taurus has 168,000 miles on it and I don't take care of it. Matter of fact I only recently flushed the radiator for the first time and probably haven't changed the oil but 12-15 times and it runs great. Besides tires, brakes and battery I haven't had one problem and the air still blows cold air...top that.

My wifes new Toyota Rav4 has been back to the shop 5 times and is less than a year old. Driving light fell out going down the road, air wouldn't work, rear window wiper went out and gas gauge quit working.

So wise up and start looking for the Union and made in America label or one day we'll all be looking for a jobs. Pay the little extra it costs and improve your own future.

Here we go, another communistic view from a union supporter...idiot :naughty:

Communists wouldn't allow workers to form unions...you really need to get a clue :naughty:

I don't believe everything they do is great but I'm smart enough to know they are a major reason why the American pay scale is so high.

:naughty: No, YOU get a clue. The Communist Workers Party IS actually a giant union. I work with the lazy assed, worth-way-less than they are paid, crybabies. The only reason people earn what they earn in this country is due to what you call 'The Free Market System'. Employers own the companies. NOT the workers. The employers will only pay what they WANT to pay, regardless of what YOU or any union pukes think. And when they don't want to pay outrageous wages anymore they go OVERSEAS. :D

true, but just as true is the fact that we as a country can't compete because of those salary's, many of which are deserved and many not!

most domestic car manufacturers dont even "make" their own cars anyway, they design and assemble them. most of that crap under the hood is made overseas, along with the bodypanels. if americans had a dirtbike company, they would probably get it made overseas anyway, because of the cost. As far as paying attention to detail, im sure americans are ignorant to some things as compared to them crazy japs, just look at the playstion 2, what american could come up with that masterpiece?

Idiot!! What processor do you think is in the playstation 2??? It's a RISC processor made my MIPS, a US company located in Mountain View California, formerly owned by the company I work for which is SGI (Silicon Graphics).

Well I'll agree to disagree. I think the Unions were the backbone of our economy that turned this country around after the depression. Maybe this was drilled into my head by my college Prof but I buy it.

Anyway...Buy American...the next job you save may be your own!

Lets get back to the bike discussions.

If Harley bought KTM, and kept the same quality, which they easily could with all there money, we be loving it.

A company like that would go a long way towards lobbying to keep our riding areas open.

I miss Rokons.

They still build Rokons in New Hampshire and their Thumpers now. No enduro models just Trail Breakers. Factory foreman told me biggest market is Asia!

Harley has the money but not the brains. They are too busy selling image to focus on technology. Plus they are all union socialist degenerates as well, there's no way they could complete with the big three on price.

Someone needs to call Erick Buell and tell him he needs to build a dirtbike. His latest bikes are sweet.

You are just sticking up for your lively hood, no one can blame you there. I'm sure it's tough to make that much money and be able to see both sides of it.

A couple of questions:

Slow? Have you ridden one?

Heavy? Weight difference between a KTM and ATK? Remember it does have the happy button.

Cost? Take your fine Honda and put on decent suspension add fuel injection and let me know how much it cost. It's still cheaper than a KTM and not much more than a Honda. And yes, it is American Made.
