Well I finally weighed my bike this weekend and it just hit the scales at 270 with no gas and no kickstand. I remember someone else on here weighed their bike on their wifes scales. I brought home the scale from work because it is a pretty heavy duty one.

Wow, what would it be like to ride a 230# bike?

Don't do it it will drive you crazy wanting to buy one...

If a guy was racing in tight woods for 2 hours, I would say that is the bike...

but it's what you like...

My wife's cousin is ford blue and yamaha blue, everything else sucks....

now me a like all bikes and if I ride one and I feel it is a nice bike, I'm not to proud to say KTM and HUSKY also make a nice 4 stroke.. rode them all like them all, If I had to choose one it would be the KTM...

comes stock with nice seat and tank, pipe over size handle bars and lots of other nice features.. also a hyd. clutch..

122kg with about 3 pints = 3lb

you get used to all this after a while in europe.

doudle the kilo's

add 10%

& you're there!

therefore 122 becomes 244

244 + 10% (=24)

it all adds up to 268lb.

That's a joke right? I think Yamaha scales are a little off. that must be with helium filled tires,and no fluids,grease,or anything else. My wr with a stock YZ tank and seat, no headlight, no kickstand, and all YZ plastic, no airbox cover, weighs a little over 260 lbs.

If you think thats bad try weighing your bike after a nice mud ride before cleanup!!! After you do that the 268 pounds of clean dry weight will actually impress you... or is that depress you ?

the only things I have done to lighten my bike is:

ProTapers

removed the headlight and rear fender in favor of a YZ # plate and YZ rear fender

removed odo

removed kickstand

applied triple clamp

aluminum sprocket

Of course I have also added some weight with:

frame guards

bark busters

skid plate

other small items...

I guess one might cancel the other out.

i wish they were lighter!!!! i weighted mine on the scale here at work and it weighted 280lb. thet is stock with tag bars GPR and 1/2 tank of gas and oil in it. i have to figure out how to keep from picking this thing up sooooooo often.

Too bad I don't have a scale. Guess I could ride it through the door, past the desk and into the locker-room of the gym and weigh the damned thing. All I know is that it's a lot lighter than the Harley.

With the conversion from WR to YZ (Plastic/Acc) Mine now weigh's 258 Dry. Weighed mine at a certified military scale.

Fun in Yamaha language = Heavy, Thats why this thing has so much power.....Weight Compensation!
