Fork question on klx400

My forks deflect off sharp bumps like hard rocks, square edges... others have told me the klx for some reason has hard valving compared to the drz.. is this true? It's ok for desert running but at lower rocky, nasty woods trails like Kennedy meadows the deflection and bouncing instead of being pliant are a real pain.

Any suggestions?

thanks

the klx400 is 100% identical to the drz.its just a green suzuki.

Have you tried compression damping adjustment?

Crack open the air bleed screws to release excess air pressure?

Maybe try lighter oil and/or verify correct oil level.

Thanks,

I'll try the fluid change but I think it might be valving...

Get a steering dampner if it's really a problem. It'll make it easier to ride in the dez too.
