Hi guys,

I live in Angola and bought in 2009 a XR650R 2007...also the happy owner of a Ktm 950 Adv 2004.

I´ve been riding it in some raids...and for fun at the weekends.

I've mount CRF fork, a CRF triple clamp adapted for XR, Magura EX, Polisport UFX front fender, Polisport MMX headlight, pro circuit exhaust, and new foot pegs.

The wind screen is a slipstreamer spit fire universal. I do ride with the shifter that low it hasen't presented a problem because I don't wear my MX boots and my feet are only 8 1/2 so I have just left it alone now that you point it out though I think I am gonna raise it because it looks way to low ?

Just looks in danger..LOL My big ass feet would never catch it. I use to ride Pike Natl Forest (RRMC) on my XT back in the day, Mt Evans, just every where. My XRL is my first DS since Colorado. Why? I have no freakin idea. I ride the piss out of this 650L. I rode my 200SX KTM for the first time in a month yesterday..LOL

Mildly modded. Nice

thanks it has a few things done, de smog, rejet, snorkel removed and a bunch of bolt ons... still a bit disappointed in the power, my xl600r was defienetely easy to wheelie...

just rebulit my 83 xl600r 2 months ago and 1800kms later the engine went, i think it got starved of oil

The XRLs definitely lack in the throttle snap category. I think the three ton flywheel has a lot to do with it. It takes a while to get all that mass spinning.... of course it is a tractor once you get it spinning.

Yep next time I have the seat off I will take some pics. I chopped a LOT of the fender off with my Dremel. Basicly left the two side bolt holes that mount to the XR frame and enough "meat" on top under the seat to bolt through the top of that metal arch under the seat. The back 5" of the two frame tubes are chopped off. You basicly jam the fender in there, figure out where it needs to sit, and then start cutting away everything you dont need. Its easy to do, just takes some time.

That 83 is HOT!

I've been having a ton of fun with my bike since its rebuild. Went out with a group of buddies in the los padres national forest (big sur Ca) and put down 190 miles on sunday. ? Snapped a couple pics. It was a good day indeed!
