I just like the way it looks actually it is supposed (theory) to improve the exhaust gas throughput by retaining the heat in the gas - but who cares? It looks cool and has lasted about 6 months and is still OK.

I used stainless hose clamps to keep it in place and you put the tape on after giving it a quick dunk in water and that makes is pliable and sticks to the shape better. Overlap it by about half to a third as you lay it.

After riding make sure the tape is dry or it might rust the pipe.
