Just got this pig yesterday... For FREEEE! My brother got out of riding, I asked to buy it from him, he didn't want to sell it to me, so he gave it to me. :banghead:

'00 XR650R, Suspension worked by Rob Barnum, Edelbrock Quicksilver carb, Ohlins/Scott steering damper, FMF 2 pipe, XR's only foot pegs, Xr's only billet counter shaft sprocket cover. Needs a little TLC, but still in great condition. It sat for about a year before I got my hands on it. Drained the old gas out put some fresh stuff in there, and I cannot get the damn thing to start, even with the Edelbrock on there. Looks like the carb is gonna need to be cleaned.

Since I paid nothing for this bike, I figured it was only fair to pass down my XR400 to my other brother. :ride:

I would be guessing you have the right technique to start the BRP since you had a smaller pig to start with, just double check before you rip off the carby :ride:

Congrats on the bike.

Your bro doesn't have a score to settle does he?:banghead: Giving someone a big bore, kick start bike that will never start could be a heck of a way to get even!:foul:

Seriously... I'm sure that's not the case. Great looking bike (even if you paid for it!). Welcome to the group! Look forward to reading your exploits on your new free toy!:ride:

:foul:?

Ive ridden the bike quite a bit in the past. It runs! I swear it! Lol! Last time it was ridden was when we went to California City about a year ago, and it sat since then.

*edit I did a little searching for the starting procedure, followed it and it fired up on the sixth or seventh kick!

What a deal! That's great news. Don't let it sit long enough now for the gas to go stale! :ride:

Build your TT garage. Click the "Garage" tab on the top of the page. Get to building... that way we can all get our bike porn fix. :ride:

Oh, haha. That went right over my head! :banghead: Will do!

*edit Ive updated the garage, need to get more pics of the 650's mods though, ill do that as soon as I can. Plenty of the motard tho
