XR650R forks on a XR600

Anyone ever did this conversion? I believe the XR650R forks are 46mm vs 43mm so I would need to change the triple clamps (doing that anyway for other reasons). How about axle and brake caliper fitment? My XR600R is a '87, so it has a smaller axle than the later 600's.

What other conversions would be sutiable?

You can change the bearings in your wheel to '93 or later and run the larger axle.
