It's hard to give up something as reliable and fun to ride as the 426. Some day I will break down and buy a newer one, but no time soon.

The 400's and 426's all suck the only real one is the 450. They might as well sell those others at napa or walmart with the fake helmets 🙂

Just kidding i loved my 426 and I would still be riding it now if I had fond out about swapping the exhaust cam sooner.. that bike rode like a Cadillac. 🙂

I love my 02 426, which I bought new in the summer of 2003 instead of a 450 (green sticker issue loomed large here). And now that I have it set up so well for my riding--Rekluse, 450 Cam, flywheel weight, suspension mods etc.--it's hard to imagine getting something new that I'd have to start all over with. So maybe I'll just go ahead and get that Scotts steering dampner/triple clamp/Renthal set up I've been eyeing...
