Psyquan   My Ride Posted July 2, 2005 My TE610E is kind of slow in stock trim. Check the link to see my Husky: http://psyquan.homepage.dk/12.JPG What upgrades, would be best for the $ ? Exhaust - ? Cam - ? Piston - ? Carburator - ? 🙂🙂
Norman_Foley   Posted July 2, 2005 The bike is definitely mellow in stock trim. I wouldn't say slow, just steady thrust 🙂 instead of eye watering hit 🙂 . I guess since it's a '98, Location "Other" isn't North America. Exhaust; If it's a European spec bike with catalysts, you could remove those. In the US we get different spec non-catalyst spark arrested mufflers. Up-Tite in the US and Talesin in UK have aftermarket exhausts. Cam; George Erl at Up-Tite probably has a good cam for this bike. Piston; If I remember old posts, the starter system on the '98-'99 won't handle anymore compression. Carb; The Dellorto is a great carb, easy to jet and adjust. You'll have to re-jet if you do exhaust and cam. Also, since it's a SM bike you can drill out the extra holes in the airbox without worrying about fording streams and waterholes. Nice looking bike! Psyquan   My Ride Posted July 2, 2005 Thanks Norman. Yes, it's has the double catalyst exhaust, and it gets extreme hot :-O Anybody have some hints to remove, the catalyst in the stock silencer's ? Airbox is allready drilled out, for high flow :-). Starter system can't handle more compression. Then I have a question. Can i remove the battery, or does it mess up the light/electrics ?
