Joffter Posted July 5, 2005 The Factory Teams in both the USA and Europe run Standard RM250 Clutch springs in their 450's. This was told to and shown to me by the Factory technicians in Belgium. The Stock Rm250 clutch springs are stiffer than the 450 springs(I know that sounds odd) but its true. You can feel the difference with your fingers. The RM250 springs are a bit shorter than the 450 clutch springs as well, but work well and prevent slipping etc. The factory squads also run stock RM250 plates 2-7(fibre/cork plates) in the 450 as they have more "meat" on them. Plates 1 and 8 are the same on the 450 as on the RM250, but the 450 plates 2-7 have a lot less surface area on them than stock 250 plates. Have a look and compare them and you will immediately see the difference. I have had them in my bike ever since(both springs and plates from the RM250) and they work well.
