250F. Do you ride it pinned?

Recommended Posts

Just curious how often y'all are able to pin your 250Fs.

Rarely, Sometimes, Alot?

Where at... Woods, tracks (fast or tight), supercross style.

I ride both woods and tracks and wonder why I'm not pinning it more.

Would have to say that I rarely pin it and hold it pinned. I mean, yeah, I can pin it but keeping it pinned for any amount of time is another story.

Anyone? 🙂

hold it WOT long enough and you will feel the pull level off because peak power is around 2000rpm below peak rpm, time to shift. All your doing is wringing out the valvetrain.

Like someone said, it's a 125 and you have to pin and shift. You can usually hear and feel if the bike is pulling or just revving.

Funny, the magazine's always rave about how the YZ250F is faster stock than a modified KXF, RMZ, CRF or SXF. 🙂

How's that for slow.

Motorcross is easy, all you have to do is pin it and slide around the course! They say motorcross is a sport, sheesh, all motorcrossers do is sit on a seat and turn a throttle, how hard is it to hold a twisty thing all the way?

Haha. Did ya'll here this guy? How's motocross a sport. All you do is sit and twist a throttle. I'm not even going to start with you. You obviously havn't ever raced. Because you don't know what armpump is or anything. But I'm not even going to get started.
