82cc kit problems

Recommended Posts

I recently let a friend of mine install an 82cc kit in my xr while I was gone to the beach. When I got home I started to break it in and the head gasket blew 🙂 . So I tore down the motor to find that there were only two dowel pins in the cylinder 🙂 . To make matters worse there was also an o-ring left over and I don't have the owner's manual for my bike. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what order the four dowel pins should be installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the engine from the front of the bike, and looking back, the 2 8x12 dowels go on the two right-side engine studs, between the lower end and the cylinder. One of the 8x14 dowels goes on the upper-left engine stud, and the other goes on the lower-right engine stud, between the cylinder and the cylinder head itself.
