XR250_RIDER_14 Posted July 8, 2005 I have a 1997 XR250R. I want to get a big bore kit or a cam. Which one will I get more power and response out of. I have looked at big bore kits and cams from XRs only. What am I better off getting without sacrificing my low end torque and XR reliability. And another thing is the cams are almost 200 dollars!! They are both about 200 dollars.It's more like $150.00 for the cam and $150.00 for the piston. The parts needed are listed in MAR's sticky. Here they are: The Wiseco piston part number I used is 4466M07700. Hotcams part# 1006-1. Honda valve stem seal part# 12209-GB4-681 qty. 4. Cometic top end kit# C7146.
