bendapole Posted July 9, 2005 Hello from Alaska, I was looking at my SM today and decided to measure the actual tire width. I used a digital caliper so it's pretty accurate. These tires are on the stock SM wheels. the front 120/70 D208 is 120MM wide. the rear 140/70 D208 is 154MM wide. I am looking for a tire that is a little more dirt road worthy, possibly the Avon Distanzia or the Pirelli MT60R. Thanks
TORKED Posted July 9, 2005 There was a thread a while back about a few guys who had the Destanzia and they were stoked. I dont have, but will probably try them when I shread these.
bendapole Posted July 9, 2005 One other thing that I am looking for in a tire is puncture resistance. The D208 is fun on pavement but, the local guys like to ride a "GOOD DAY RIDE" loop that is about 600 miles with 135 of that being dirt road. Flat tires and the worst mosquitoes in years don't sound fun. thanks
