EXHAUST: STAINLESS vs TITANIUM

Recommended Posts

I am about to purchase exhaust & would like to hear how others made their decisions, as well as how their exhaust Mods have worked. Where did you buy it?

*Full Stainless? ...Less money, Pretty heavy, but durable when dumping the bike often, which I tend to do cuz i can't ride for sh!t 🙂

** Full Titanium? ... Light weight, more money, delicate like me.

*** OR, end Pipe only. Stainless josh, Billy Pipe, Big Gun, Super Trap, etc....

Does putting JUST the end pipe on add significant power? Or is it worth it to do whole system?

FYI - 1980 honda Z-50, Jetted/Airbox, 14/47, Terraflex, + some other crap.

Thanks! - Bill

Just get the full SS yosh. It's far more durable and the power increase is pretty good comapared to a slip on that really only adds more noise so they say. The Ti is pretty fragile from what everyone says. The TT store will price match and they offer free shipping to boot. Panaman and I got ours shipped together and he found a price match of $395.00 from somewhere. Best thing I ever put on my bike 🙂

Anybody happy the went with a Full Titanuim system?
Happy hell yes. Yosh Full TRS. The headpipe wraps around tighter to the frame and doesn't hang down as much as the SS system. So thats a plus if you ride some rocky areas where it can get damaged.....

Its pricey.... I got mine for $596 though and I dont think anyone generally finds it for that low of a pricetag.

To be honest I'd go SS for the dirt and I have a Ti Yosh on the SM. Colorado is nothing but rocks almost. If your near the mountains your in the rocks. I would hate myself if I squished a Ti muffler. They are pretty expensive to replace. I seldom wreck but you ride rocks enough and they start rolling who knows where you'll wind up. I've rode out a rock avalance before, why I'm still alive I don't know. I did just about poop myself though. Mother Nature can really scare the white right off a guy when she wants to. For rocks go SS. prairiedawg 🙂
