what to do with this shock???

my rear shock has seemed to be awful bouncy as far as the rebound goes lately. is this a sign that it needs to be revalved or what. if so who would be the best company to send it to. thank for any info

First off... welcome! 🙂

Next, what bike is it on?

What you're describing sounds like it's in need of a rebuild, not a revalve. There is the chance that the shock body may be worn too much and allowing fluid by the piston seal. If so, it might get expensive. Here's hoping it's not.

If you have someone competent nearby, that would be my first choice since they will be able to show you what is going on inside and explain your options. It will also save you a fair amount on shipping, especially if you're talking Alaska.

Sounds like a leak to me. Look at the bottom of the shock where the foam bumper is..... Does it look greasy? It should be a yellowish color. If not the seal is leaking.
