float level

so after fighting with my jetting for a month i've finally got it right(40pj,100paj,DWR 5th,165mj,40lj) but the problem with stalling in the technical stuff is still there. i beleive its the float level,because i just noticed it dripping gas if i accellerate hard and then stop. so the question is which way is out? is the float too low and not closing the needle or is it too high and allowing it to overfill. the manual does not state which way to bend the tab for this situation just the measurement to set it. it may just be hanging up as i've been poking around changing jets so much. but i'd like to know which way to bend the tab to lower the fuel level? thanx ncmm
