Crf 450-02

I was out in the dunes the other day, when i stopped, i found i couldn't get the bike back into neutral. Then i realsied i couldn't find any of the gears. After some rocking (and a few kicks) i managed to almost release the gears and stsrt it. Anyone got any ideas why this happend??

Just Maybe..........if your Lucky..........changing the oil might Help.

When was the last time you changed the trans. oil and what type

are you using?

I am using Mobil 1 -15w 40. I put in the required amount, as specified.

It was strange cos i went out yesterday and it was fine!

Nice to hear :eek: , but I would still change the oil and look at the old oil you drained out and see if there is any junk in there. :applause:

I have an 03 and this happened to me a couple of weeks ago in a race. I got stuck in 5th gear.

I drained the oil and it looked fine, so I called a shop and he told me to take off the right side cover and give him a call to tell him what I saw.

As soon as I took off the cover a small (looked like a snap from a boat top) fell to the ground.

It ended up being the shift collar that came off. Easy fix, but you have to take the clutch apart in order to put it back in.
