Suspension settings

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

New to the forum, want to say HI to all and throw in a quick question.

I'm running an 01 400 E w/ stock suspension at the moment. I'm going to up grade to race-tech in the near future, but until then, can someone give me a quick rundown on what rebound/compression settings for the front and rear would be good for a guy 6'3" and 200lbs

Thanks

First off your damping settings are more to do with your level of experience And where you ride .

The best place to start is to make shore all the adjusters are set to factory

The next thing is to set your race sag “adjusting the preload on the back spring”

This will get the bikes geometry right and tell you whether you need a heavier rear spring

After that go out to your feverat riding place and adjust each setting one at a time

That way you get to now what each setting dues to the seat of your pants
