Steamboat Spring,co Jetting ?

Recommended Posts

I will be going to Steamboat Spring,co the first week of August, I am looking

for some jetting advice.

I have a 01 XR400 with a 440 kit,big gun exhaust,mikuni pumper carb,white

brother ignition,UNI air filter, hot cam stage 1, 3"x 6" hole in the air box and

port & polish.

I was hoping somebody up there had a bike close to my and let me know what

they are using for jetting.

I can't give you any suggestions on your specific jetting but from a general standpoint, the riding here varies from 7,000 ft in town to over 10,000 on the continental divide. My experience with my 250 is that you will have to do more than just screwing in the idle jet screw. You might contact our local Honda dealer, Action Motorsports, 970-879-5138 and they should be able to give specific suggestions.

i run a 150/52 but my bike isn't setup the same way. use dave's elevations & submit another post asking about elevation (with your setup) not location.

Because of all your mods it's difficult to tell.

But in general, one step leaner on the needle and two down on the main will put you in the ball park.
