Advice installing Wolfman tank bags

Recommended Posts

I'm in the middle of installing some Wolfman tank bags. There are two wide straps that go over the top of the fuel tank, one on each side of the fuel cap. On both sides, near the bottom of each bag, is a long inch-wide strap with a cinch-buckle on one end. It's easy to find a place to wrap the front strap: over the top of the radiator shroud, down around the lowest mounting bolt and back up to the top of the shroud. However, I cannot find a good place for the rear straps. They are meant to go around the frame down tube (which works) but allows the bags to flop around. A better place would be down towards the radiator and around the coolant return pipe. This seems like a bad thing to do on general principle that you shouldn't add stress to a component that not meant to take it.

Has anyone found a good place for securing their tank bag straps? Thanks!

I run the front one around the neck of the frame and the back 2 I pass under the frame under the tank. They cinch up nice and tight and I tuck the tails under the bag.
