check my ttr90

Recommended Posts

I figured i would post up a few pictures of my ttr. I am 21, a senior in college and weigh 200lbs. Who says ttr90's are for kids?? I have done a few things to my bike but i am limited by the mods available for a ttr90. Not sure why, but there isn't many mods out there except for exhaust and a few graphics. Here are the list of things i have do to her so far. All the pictures are before the mods except the last one. i have done everything myself and havn't even spent over 100 bucks. the most expensive was the spring. the frame painting was free, the exhaust was only 5 bucks for paint.

-6" tall BMX handlebars

-Home modded exhaust

-Rear suspension lifter

-dunlop 756 rear tire

-UNI air filter

-95 main jet

-Powersports rear performance spring

-3/4 inch spacers in front

-Silver painted frame

-Blackish painted swingarm

future mods

-high seat foam

-new front tire

-powder coated wheels

-Faster mini's graphics

-black number plate backgrounds and numbers

-kx60 suspension

-Sano rear sprocket

this is a picture of what i did to the exhaust

This is the airfilter mod. I removed the airbox but kept the little tube and attached a uni air filter and put a sock around it to keep the noise down. Works amazingly!! i recommend it to anybody

i also have a 2000 rm250 and sometimes enjoy riding the 90 more than the 250. it is a little beat up right now but i am trying to save up a little money for graphics and other stuff

if you ever need anymore ideas I just got rid of a pretty tricked out 90. Have somethings on there that were one off.

klx110 seat fits with some moddification but pretty simple

there are footpeg mounts out so when yours bend you can replace them with something decent

dont use the kx60 suspension go with the 65 and you also get better spring options and a disc brake

front tire-I still got a set of michelin starcross in the garage if you are interested

does the klx seat frame fit or does the whole thing bolt up? I was going to try and buy some klx110 seat foam and make it fit mine.

And where did you get the pegs from. I was about to take mine to a welder and get stuff welded to it for strength. Ive gone through 2 peg mounts. :applause::eek:

I was just told about the peg mounts the other day I will have to find out who makes them. Get the foam and modify is the way to go, but the frame might fit

pretty cool man.. but if you wanted to really mod a "bigger mini" why didn't you go with a 110 or something. the parts are limited for the 90 yes. but with the 110 you can pretty much build a bike with the parts bbr has for it. they have a 130 kit now, and a 160 prototype that should come out soon for it. if i was into the whole mini thing id start with a 110. but you really did do a good job with what you had to work with :applause:

well, the reason i have a ttr90 is because it was a gift from my father on my 18th birthday. an odd gift but awesome. Im sure that if the klx/drz110 was out at the time he would have gotten that instead. I have no where near enough money to buy a brand new or even used 110. I am trying to save up for a new RM125 or and RMZ250. I would love to have a bike with more mods available but i enjo have a bike that not everybody has. I want to try and buy a new motor for it like a crf50 motor bored out and the clutch and all the goodies off of ebay and fabricate it onto the 90. sounds like too much work but for only about 350 bucks and a little work i can have a bike that nobody else in the world has. Just a thought though.

and mitchwilliams, where did you fin the preprinted backgrounds?? I have looked for those for a while and could not find any

I think that's the problem with alot of the pitbike industry, everybody thinks you need some $10000 BBR perimiter frame with a full race motor to have fun. I had a ton of fun on my friends bone stock Z50. Thats a sweet 90. Being diffrent isn't a bad thing.

You're right. Being different isn't bad. Everyone has a KLX or DRZ 110. It's taken a little extra cash and a little extra time to put the engine together but my kids "TTR110" doesn't give up the holeshot to any of the big bore KLZ/DRZ bikes and it's fun to see a blue bike up front in the first turn. I just wish it had the hidden 4th gear that the other bikes have. I'd love to put a clutch on it and have an extra gear!

Tito: You can get the number plates at DeCal Works.
