Just Picked Up My New Drz400s, Now What???

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Well, I finally did it. Just picked up my new DRZ400 today. Cant wait to get to the trails.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have any advice for a new guy like me. Oil change intervals, break in, optional needed accesories, riding gear???

Ride it hard, change oil often, have fun.

Welcome to the list.

Here is some good break in advice, recommended by our resident gurus.

http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

Also take a look at the FAQ post Bronco made near the top of the DRZ forum.

Good info to start with, also try a search for specific things you might be interested in.

Much of it has been covered a lot. Also take a look around here www.drz.info - its a bit dated, but still good info.

Case savers from the TT store are a must, the shift lever will punch a hole in your

side case in no time from a small fall, also a good skid plate, and some radiator

guards from www.unabiker.com.

Have fun!

Let the money spending begin! I'm named George too. You are going to spend so much bread on this machine you will think you're possessed. Your not you're just making it into the ultimate trail riding ass kicking bike it always could have been but Suzuki didn't make it that way you did. it's a great feeling to. prairiedawg :applause::eek:
