Buying An 03 Ktm525smc Tomorrow (maybe) Cast Your Vote

This is a continuation of a previous thread. I have talked the guy down to $4,000.00. The bike is in good condition overall, but it has been sitting so long I think it will need some TLC to get it dialed in. The thing was barely ridden in the first place, so I'm pretty sure the carburation was never quite dialed in to begin with. To recap it's the four speed (Yuk, but I can add the 6 speed later if I feel it's necessary) and he doesn't have the dirt wheels for it (who really cares since I have dirt bike already). So is it a good deal????? It seems to be, but I'm a little lost in KTM supermoto land. How about some YES or NO votes, buy it or don't buy it. Thanks everyone.

If its not been riddin much and looks new its a good deal. The four speed gear box is not a bad thing just depends on your track if it's really fast or not.

I sold my '03 525 SMC last Feb for $4k w/ ONLY the dirt wheels and brakes. (Kept the SM stuff for rains) I felt like I left money on the table - should have asked for more.

If it's in good shape, go for it. The 6-spd conv. is pretty cheap if you really need it.
