question about a head gasket

Hello

I am getting ready to put my top end back together and just wondering if there is a right and wrong way to put the head gasket on? It looks like it will go either way, doesn't really say top or bottom on it.

Or does it matter?

It will only go on one way, you will work it out.

Also when you fit the front cam chain guide, make sure that the two plastic lugs are located in the correct notches in the head. The lugs should go under the head gasket which will allow the guide to go right forward. You will have to pull it back a bit to get the head over it but it will pop back fully forwards when done.

After you have the head on and the guide is not sitting right forward, it may have come out of it's notches and be sitting above the gasket or even twisted in there.
