My wife just bought me one last weekend for my birthday and she told me it was about $575.She got it at best buy,it's a samsung sc-x105L.I have not figured it out yet but I will have it dialed in by this weekend.

I just bought a helmet cam off Ebay for $150, and i got a used camcorder also for $150 off Ebay. I still need a firewire card for my computer, a LANC remote, batteries and a charger. So that should put me a little over $400.

At the top left is a picture of the camcorder. Click on the picture to open up a box. Once that box is open click on "Accessories" and you will be able to see the "external camera module" that you can mount to your helmet.

I bought a $35 bullet camera off of ebay and a Canon ZR45MC camcorder off ebay for about $185.

I have the camera mounted on the bike.

Now that I have found out it works I may have to go with the Extremehelmet cams kit off of ebay. I still don't have a microphone for my set up or the LANC controler.

The IEEE1394 card that I received from Newegg.com even came with a cable.

My cam came from Extremehelmetcams as well.

Which is a better spot to mount the cam, under the visor or on the side of the helmet?

Could you post a picture of the way the cameras are being mounted? Either to the helmet or to the bike.
