powernow?

after getting one used from a fellow tt'er, i would say no. if you have a bit of mechanical ability, go to http://www.thumperfaq.com/jamesnow.htm and learn to make one yourself. $2 do it yourself yes, $80 or however much for a real one, waste of money.

It's not the best money spent on your bike but if you don't have anything else to drop money on your bike then why not. I bought one before I knew that the #40 leak jet was the cure for my off-idle bog hoping that it would help with that problem. Didn't help but I did notice a slightly better throttle response. I wouldn't buy it again if I had another bike that didn't have it on there.

ditto on idea. you will be suprised on how your bike will run with that jet kit in it. cheaper than the powernow, and very simple to install. and if you have the ability, you can make your own powernow and install it at the same time.

No to PN, get the 40 leak jet and open up the exhaust. I took out the spark arrestor and got a HUGE low end improvement.

I made mine. Did a difference, but not enough for the 80 bucks that I would have spent.
