Honda Ruckus for college commute

I just bought "over the phone" for my 18 yr old son a 05 Honda Ruckus to commute 3 miles to college, he's in California attending Cabrillo College (Santa Cruz area)this fall..:D

amazing what a mastercard can do. :D

heh..

ill never see it, or ride it he's in Ca. , and im here in WV.. but he wanted it to ride to the college.. (hey it was cheaper than his other choice, a new Mustang)

lol, comon man, you couldve atleast gotten him a ninja 250, what is that 2,000? i have a feeling kids on pedal bikes will pass him on the road lol

3 miles in Santa Cruz, why not a nice pedalized bike? Easier to ride when stoned...not that your son would, just in case he gets some fumes down there. :D

I've sat on a ruckus more than once at the dealership, looks like fun.

he has a pedal bike out there, but with this he can haul his surfboard easier.

I've never ridden a scooter. Does a 250 scooter compare in any way to a 250 4-stroke motorcycle? How about, say, a CRF 230?

Just curious. I have a friend who knows someone that has one (it's a Honda 250cc scooter, but I don't know which one), and he thinks he's really riding a motorcycle.

The Big Ruckus....?

3 miles, I used to ride my mountain bike 20 miles round trip to school.

Most of it was single track along a river so it wasnt bad.
