REAR SUSPENSION

Recommended Posts

I put stiffer front springs on my 2000 520 sx which I ride alot of motorcross on. I would bottm out all the time weighing around 185 without gear. Do I need to change the rear suspension as well or just adjust it? Thanks in advance. Carl.

Carl, check your rear sag as per your manual! Your small WP shock manual has all the info you'll need to do the job. Your rear sag should be at 100mm when you are sitting on the bike vs. being on a stand. I believe the stock spring (pds-250) should be what's on your bike and should be the correct spring for your weight. The forks come too soft for your weight and should be replaced with 44's. Erik
