running in tips 520exc 2002

I have just purchased a new 2002 520exe ( pick it up Friday 24th aug – can’t wait ) - has any one any running in tips?

Just caught your post on aug delivery of 520exc.I too am waiting for a 2002 exc and was just curious as too which dealer you use.

Search this forum and Holeshot's forum. There is a lengthly list of break in stuff and changes for '02. Good stuff, but too much to repeat.

Hey Appworld,

I have an 01 520EXC and I just made sure I kept the revs below about 3000rpm for the first 150 kms. Be careful when you are in 6th gear - if you try to shift up, it can sometimes jump to 1st. That's the last thing you want when you're blasting along the Ridgeway at 30mph (that may be too fast for you)!
