Lowering seat height

Hi folks,

I'm a future KTM520exc owner (I hope). I was hoping to find out if anyone has lowered the seat height on this or the 400, and if so, how. Why, you ask? Yep, you guessed it - I'm vertically chall... oh hell, I'm short!

I'd like to be able to get a little bit more than just barely the tips of my boots on the ground.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Best thing to do is shave the seat foam. Any other changes in the fork and shock set up will make the bike more difficult to set up and makes handling dicey at best. Went thru this same big ordeal with my wifes YZF 250 and had many big battles getting it right....and it never was right. Shaving the seat foam is easy, doesn't change the geometry or weight bias or leverage ratios. Do what you want here but to coin a phrase (and an annoying one at that) ...been there done that. Good luck
