YZ 125 exhaust question (opinions?)

Recommended Posts

Just picked up a 05 YZ 125 for a play bike. I am not going to be racing it much, maybe just for grins once or twice a year. I am going to be using it as a 196 LB (dry, of course) woods weapon more than anything. I cannot get over that dry weight, especially considering the other bike is a DRZ 400...

Stock exhaust has to go, as I need an S/A and don't want to do the hideous bolt on application.

I have narrowed my options down to (including head pipe) either FMF or Pro Circuit, and really like the raw metal finish of the works pipes. Any opinions on the stock head pipe vs. aftermarket?

Opinions please, on the two, and what might be more suitable for my bike. Also, any opinions on FMF's "Q" vs. the Pro Circuit "Nature friendly" or model 296 muffler?

Thanks in advance. Been out of the 2 stroke game for a while (last one was a 95 CR250...)
