basic suspension question

Recommended Posts

As a general rule of thumb when softening the compression do you typically add or take away rebound? I'm talking about when the chop on an MX track is bad and you're backing off comp. several clicks. Last time out I backed off comp. about 4 clicks and got the forks feeling pretty good on braking bumps but then they seemed to deflect off of bumps coming out of turns and I almost lost the front end several times. Should I have added rebound?

Ive always gotten the rebound set and rarely ever touch it. I end up messing with the compression clicker alot.

When messing with the rebound on the fork, I normally just get it to turn well and leave it.
