'06 fork springs v. '05 's

As the forks on the '06's are 7mm shorter than the 05's (and I assume 04's)will the fork springs from my '04 fit on my '06? And supposedly the rear shock is 1" shorter...any comments?

all the later year showa springs are the same as the new 06,

the shock is still the same length spring also.

you have got to love that about showa,

they try to all stay consistant,

even making the shock shaft length shorter or longer is easy to suit,

They put the shorter type outer tubes from the "X" model on for 06, they take all the same springs, it great upgrading bikes and able to install springs from last years bike.
