i am looking into getting a 2002 honda crf450 it has new plastics every bolt on it is new it is in great shape , its $4300 i am wondering if that is a good price for this bike and if there is any problems with that year, if u could tell me that would be great thanks.

$4300 is WAY too high for an '02. You can get an '05 for a little over that. Stay away from the 02s - they were a little bit poor handling, but otherwise not bad. Go with something newer, and at that price (as you can see above) you can get something.

You will find somebody with an '05 for $5300. That '02, unless you are in CA and want a green sticker, shouldn't go for more that $3300.

I sold my 02 in great shape with excels,renthals.a pipe and some other goodies for 3 grand a couple of months back.

I am sure you know this but are we all talking about US Currency? $7000 Canadian is like $6000 US. Most MXers will pay between $6800 ($7900 Canadian) and $7200 ($8400 Canadian) US OTD.

4300 for an '02 CRF in CAD$ is the going rate. They sell for 4000 - 5000.

If you can, obviously, try to talk the asking price lower. Never pay full price...

The 02 camshaft is biased towards the top of the rpm range. There was not enough weight on the front tyre which allows it to understeer (run wide) off turns. The air box to air boot joint can allow dirt into the motor - PC has a remedy kit. All these were changed for 03.
