Free Mod Photo

Recommended Posts

Eventually I'll be shelling out for a low-profile aftermarket tail light assembly, like a lot of guys on TT do, but I thought I'd post a photo of how I was able to tidy up my stock tail light assembly, and for absolutely nothing. Nadda, zip, zero!

I chopped off the long extension, removed the tail light spacer, and removed the plate extension bracket.

I'm sure it's been done many times before, but I figured I'd post a before an after shot of the hack job I did, anyhow.

I wonder if there is a LED unit that is actually bright enough to be seen that is DOT approved?

There are lots of DOT approved LED tail lights out there, some are even made for motorcycles.
