Gutty Posted September 26, 2005 Assuming it's the same as a go-kart taco, hook one wire up to earth, and the other up to your sparky lead.

woodsrat Posted September 26, 2005 I use a mini tach that's available in the US for around 40 dollars on my XR-650L--uses it's own non-replaceable battery (a throwaway unit, supposed to last five years) and it also keeps track of the number of hours run. One wire hookup, too--just wrap a wire around the plug wire a few turns and then push the wire into the tach/hourmeter's groove. Definitely worth the bucks and simple to install. Kurlon Posted October 2, 2005 Note, the update speed on these things isn't exactly snappy. They are made to monitor tractors, where you set one speed and leave it there. I think the update rate is once every half a second, or once a second?
Jimmy Pang Posted October 2, 2005 yeah that is true..... the rpm is update every 2 seconds..........
