GuyGraham Posted September 29, 2005 it's used, when the carb is on a multi cylinder bike, there will be hole there linking the carb to the other carbs (I think). As you have noticed there is no hole where it is located and so appears to do nothing, but you do need it to ensure proper seal between the carb top and diaphram rubber.
