RottenRob Posted September 30, 2005 Just bought the JD jetting kit and the Twin Air Powerflow kit. Do I still need to slice open the sides of the airbox or will the Twin Air kit let enough air in for the JD jet set up? I really don't want to slice open the airbox!!! RottenRob Posted September 30, 2005 If the answer is I have to cut it open then what effect will the Powerflow have on the jetting? Should I just forget the Powerflow all together?
RottenRob Posted September 30, 2005 Burned throw me a bone here. Is the Twin Air powerflow a waste of money?
Wayward Son Posted September 30, 2005 removing the back fire screen would lean the main jet 1 size.most reccomended main jet sizes are conservatively rich. i would jet as per the instructions.
SCCRF450 Posted September 30, 2005 hey burned let me ask you this. I pulled the backfire screen out of the 450X I'm wondering if the performance gain is not worth it to the risk (fire) Is it really possible to have it burn down? Is there a better (safer) filter kit to get or should I just put the sceen back in. thanks
darbkroy Posted September 30, 2005 Twinair makes a fire resistant airfilter check it out at www.rockymountainmc.com. I pulled my backfire screen and put one of these air filters on and have had no mishaps.
