110 side cases and fram questions

Has any one tryed to get the paint off the side covers so they are down to the metal...like a big bike would be....or do you know of a way i can get it off...and does anyone know how you get your frame powdercoated and all the threads be there still??? what do you do? can you stick bolts in them threads and then take them out when your done? let me kno tt's thanks alot

After you powder coat the frame then run a tap through all the threaded holes.

Any good powdercoater will do this stuff for you....Just tell him which holes to watch out for....Not sure if you have powdercoating ready available in MI but in MN this place called Best Coat is known nationwide for their powdercoating services http://www.bestcoatinc.com/. I am not sure what the side cases are made out of....However if they are aluminum you should be able to use Aircraft paint remover on them. This stuff is really harsh so make sure the cases are a metal that can take this stuff.
