kickstands are gay!

i was riding today and i landed a jump and the spring to my kickstand came off. so i got this wire on my kickstand telling my bike if it up or down.( cuz its xr250L) so i took my kickstand all the way off , and i jerryrigged it so it would think the kickstand is up, but can any of u guys help me? maybe like splice the wire somewhere or sumethin. cuz i dont want it shutting off on the face of a jump or sumthin.

IMO: if you loop the wiring (close the switch) that should make the bike run without the kickstand.

not sure on the XR but My XT had a kick stand switch. I followed the wire up under the seat and it went to 2 connectors, I pulled the switch wires out and connected the other wires togther. worked fine and allowed me to remove the switch assembly.

your not suppose to be riding at any motocross track with a kickstand on your bike...read the list of Don'ts at the entrance to the park...your lucky you could get seriously injured or hurt some other rider

spring is not an expensive part. maybe time to consider the purchase of a DIRT BIKE, they have less wires, and other "gay parts"

zach, i can't believe that you told them that it was you who did the jump and broke the spring hehehe.

It wasn't a motocross, i just wanted to see if i could do a big step up on it and i may have landed a little hard.... sorry Zach.... hehehe
